Essential Oils and Inner Work!

Hey friend! I have been working with essentials oils as a part of my inner work and I just love the growth that I am seeing! I have to share it with you!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WORK WITH ESSENTIAL OILS?

I just choose an oil to support an area that I am looking to grow in and use that oils along with meditation and affirmations every day for 30 days. I journal what comes up as I inhale it – new idea or old memories that it stired. The more I use the oil the quicker I get into the mindset I am working towards. Consistency is key here.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE OIL TO WORK WITH?

Great way to choose an oil is with your inner knowing – your gut feeling. If the blend “Believe” resonates with you, use it. If “Forgiveness” speaks to you, use that. You can also use a few oils at the same time. I would not use more than 3, just because it’s a lot of growth and I find it better to “sit” with the feelings you are working on more focused than try and “bang” it all out at once.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE

1 – Choose an are of growth (Self-Love, Confidence, Trusting yourself, Self-Worth) or notice any patterns that are not serving you (ex. Anxiousness, Defeated, Victim, a great resource for this is “Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils” book by Carolyn Mein)

2 – Choose an oil to work with. Using the book I mentioned above or just intuitively picking an oil for yourself to support your goals.

3 – Drop a drop of that oil on your head and rub a drop in your palms and inhale it. Write down affirmations that help you move in the direction of this new goal. Affirmations are positive statements written in the present time. For example, if we are looking for an affirmation for Self-Love our affirmation can be “I accept myself just the way I am”, “I love myself unconditionally” or you can Google affirmations and choose one that speaks to you.

4 – Put the oil and your affirmation next to your toothbrush to make sure you create a routine of using it day and night! Set a reminder in your phone morning and night to focus on yourself for 5 minutes.

5 – Each day read your affirmation, apply your oil, journal what comes up and meditate. The meditation can be long but it doesn’t have to be. You can start with 2-5 minutes of just standing and cupping your face and inhaling the oil after you brush your teeth. Or you can sit down and meditate on what it would feel like when you grow in the direction you want to grow!

6 – After 10 days notice a shirt. Write it down. Repeat this reflection process after 10 days again. And by day 30 you will see the amazing shifts that you might not even expected in yourself. And your will make this a routine because of how much it nourished you and grew you!

WHAT OILS ARE BEST TO USE?

I only work with Young Living oils. Their purity and the way they are produced give them true therapeutic values. After working with these oils for the past 5 years and experiencing amazing benefits physically and emotionally, I am certain these are the best choice. Young Living also creates the most amazing blends of oils. Depending on the growth goals you have you can choose from a variety of blends! Use your intuition, use the “Releasing Emotional Patterns through Essential oils” ass you reference guide and feel free to reach out to me to help guide you in getting started with Young Living as well as which oils to use! I would be honored to support you on your journey to your best self! https://oily.life/katieyev

Catching Your Dreams

Catching your dreams! It has different meaning for everyone! Sometimes dreams can be really clear and others you are lost in the land of self-discovery and personal growth!

Social media has certainly created a buzz in the last few years of #goals and #hustle because it’s a highlight reel! And you can certainly find the inspiration in someone’s highlight reel but what’s missing is the work that they have put in. Into themselves and into achieving their goals.

Dreams will look different for everyone! Everyone will also be starting at a different point.

  1. Being really honest with yourself is the first step and focusing on a dream taht is trully yours and not suggested by outside influence (parents, peers, social media).
  2. Breaking your goal down into milestones or steps – what step can I take today to get me closer to that dream?
  3. Create affirmations that encourage you to keep going! Those will be great every day to help your mind get on board and also on the days that you don’t feel like your dreams are within reach.
  4. Allow yourself to change your dreams. You might be really clear today on your dream but it can evolve over time. Give yourself permission to reavaluate your dreams.
  5. Have fun with it! Catching your dreams should be a journey. No one gets to say if your journey should be hard work or easy and graceful. You decide!

Here are my thoughts on catching dreams and using Dream Catcher blend to help catch them!

Self-care for moms!

Hey, MAMA! Happy International Women’s Day! I know you are awesome and pour so much into your family! But I am here to remind you to pour into yourself!

TIP 1

Take that perfect piece for YOURSELF! You know when you are cutting cute perfect veggie pieces for your kids to snack on and eating the imperfect pieces yourself? Or washing those beautiful plump strawberries just to snack on the one that looks like it’s had a rough day? STOP! Take that perfect veggie piece for yourself. Go for that plump perfect strawberry! YOU DESERVE IT! No one will benefit from this sacrifice but what you are telling your subconcious is – I am not worthy of great things I am only worthy of those that no one else will want! NO! First take care of you and then everyone around you will benefit. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MINDSET! Affirmations are great for that! This goes for things other than veggies and fruit! But I think you know that!

TIP 2

Set time aside to focus on yourself. Nope, that’s not selfish this is SELF-LOVE! We are pouring into family, into tiny humans, into new generation – how are we going to do that if we are running on empty! Focus on YOU! The best way for me is morning affirmations, meditation, and putting my moisturizer on. MOISTURIZER? What’s that about? Self-care of course. I use to slap that moisturizer on and run downstairs to tend to lunches and breakfast and folders that have to be in the backpack. And now I am intentional with applying my moisturizer. Really, Katie, are we still talking about moisturizer? Yup! And here is why – when I apply my moisturizer I do it intentionally. I massage my face the way it needs to be massaged – because I am in my mid-30s and apparantely gravity plays a role! I spend time looking at myself in the mirror and admiring my skin, my smile, noticing my eyebrows that need some care! SELF-CARE doesn’t have to be SPA – ALL DAY – NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! ROUTINE IS KEY! It has to happen every day and this is what works for me!

TIP 3

Essential oils!!! These bottles of joy help me set intentions, focus my attention on things that are important, energize me, ground me, and raise my vibrations! Every month I do a zyto scan for my family (Zyto technology is like a lie detector test for your wellness and gives you suggestions on oils and supplements that your body can benefit from). This month my scan was all about emotional wellbeing! I scanned for Motivation, Awaken, Nutmeg, Bergamot and Cortistop! Let me backtrack for a second! I should share that I have been feeling low – creativity has been low, desire to try new things have been low – pretty much full hybernation! Due to all of that energy has been pretty low too. And everything has been done in overdrive mode! So what do these awesome Zyto scan results tell me? One – get your oils on, girl! Put that Motivation, Awaken and Bergamot on! Diffusing Bergamot is uplifting and just brightens everyone’s mood. WHY nutmeg and cortistop you ask? Because those are fantastic for energy! Nutmeg helps support adrenals and cortistop helps support normal corstisol levels! I am sticking with these for the month of March and adding them to my self care routine! It’s jus the SUPPORT I need!

CONCLUSION

Everyone’s self care will look different! But it comes down to MINDSET (doing something you desire for yourself) ROUTINE (creating one that makes you slow down and focus on you) and SUPPORT (finding things that support you whether it’s oils or journaling or calling a friend!) EASY PEASY! HARD PART? Sticking with it! But you are worth it! And everyone benefits from it!
